Molecular biologist (PhD) and data analyst with nearly two decades of experience in biotech and biopharma research. Passionate about data science, I have a keen interest in how data can be used to understand the world, drive change, and develop solutions to real-world challenges.

Over the years, I have built a strong analytical, problem-solving mindset, combining hands-on expertise in multivariate analysis of large and complex datasets with wet-lab expertise in genetic engineering, strain development, and high-throughput screenings. I have also gained extensive experience in experimental and project design, data visualisation, and communication, adapting my message to different stakeholders.

Curious by nature, I enjoy learning, solving problems, and exploring new challenges, especially when it comes to using data to understand and develop solutions for real-world challenges.   • Enabled yeast to grow and produce APIs using complex carbohydrates as carbon source (patent submitted).
  • Designed and implemented screenings and data analysis tools to identify heterologous genes and mutations linked to a higher metabolite production.
  • Identified proteins and mutations that enhanced production of metabolites of industrial interest.
  • Planned workflows for lab technicians and student helpers, and collaborated with team members to engineer high-performing strains.
  • Supervised two intern/student helpers, providing scientific and technical guidance.
